Our Volunteers are Selected for Seniors Project

We would like to congratulate Sue and Nick Hexter for being chosen to take part in the Seniors Project in 2005, an initiative that looks at how the voluntary sector works in Dacorum, Dublin, Lille and Warsaw and what can be learned from one another. The Hexters visited all of these cities and took the opportunity to spread the word of Home-Start.

Volunteers Day Out

To celebrate the Year of the Volunteer, all of the Home-Start schemes in Hertfordshire came together to host a Volunteers Celebration day. The event took place on the 21st October 2005 at Wylliotts Theatre in Potters Bar.

The day was designed to be FUN and there was the opportunity to learn some new skills (such as how to play in a steel band). Lunch was provided and refreshments.
